Amrit/Meditative Flow
Tuesdays @ 9:30 (starting 2/7) & 5:00 p.m. with Kelli
Plus, Fridays @ noon - 1:00 with Amy and Hannah

These hatha yoga classes are taught at a slower pace, often described as "meditations in motion," for students looking to learn basic yoga postures and breathing techniques.  This yoga class moves at a slower pace than any vinyasa class on the schedule, including our beginner vinyasa classes.

Amy and Hannah both studied Amrit Yoga and bring that background to this practice.
Kelli studied at Kripalu in Lenox, MA, founded by Amrit Desai.

Amrit Yoga was created by Master Yogi Amrit Desai, founder of Kripalu Yoga Center in Lenox, MA.  Yogi Desai, known as “Gurudev” (beloved teacher) based Amrit Yoga on 2 limbs of traditional styles known as Hatha (postures and breath) and Raja (meditation). It is also known as The Posture of Consciousness, focusing on mindful, deliberate movement followed by being still in full awareness.  Amrit style is for every body type and every age.  It is complimentary to vigorous practices of yoga, as well as for athletes or students with high pressured occupations. Those who suffer from anxiety or depression have found this to be a powerful healing element on their path.  This practice guides the student to go deeply within and to be completely at ease with what is, as it is.
